We the older generations at CCWO have had the privilege of seeing you grow up in front our eyes.  We thank God for who you are and what you mean to our           fellowship.  As you venture off into the world and earn your place in it, we your kupuna exhort you to hold onto scripture to guide you on your journey and keep you grounded.  The Christian life is summarized by the prophet Micah. “And what does the LORD require of you? To act   justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God” (Micah 6:8 NIV). Be aware that you will be tempted and distracted by the temporal things of this earthly life. Put on the full armor of God to resist the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10-18).  And as you endeavor to make your mark in this life remember the parable of the rich fool in Luke 12 in which Jesus taught that wisdom attends to the things of God while foolishness concerns itself only with this life.  “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:20-21 NASB).
