“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

Romans 12:4-5

We are all blessed with different talents and skills and so when we are called part of a ministry, we are part of a bigger picture to advance “The Kingdom of God,”  no  matter how small or insignificant we might think the tasks or job may be. I am reminded of the time when I was coaching my son's baseball team in a tournament… I was warming up the pitcher between the inning while the catcher put on his gear. The pitcher threw a fastball and it skidded off the ground and hit my right foot big toe. It hurt bad but I shook it off and continued catching pitches from the pitcher.  The next morning, I could barely walk from the injury I sustained from the ball hitting my toe. I realized how important every part of the body is (i.e. limb, toes, blood vessel) not just the big ones …our eyes, ears, nose, hands, etc. - God created all of the body parts for a reason. No matter how small or insignificant we may think our job/tasks/ministry may be, never take it for granted because it is part of the bigger picture – to advance The Kingdom of God. Today, chip in, get involved, make a contribution, pitch in, do something, or give a helping hand.
