“Harvest Fest—Good Works for God’s Glory”

This past Tuesday was our "Harvest Fest" celebration. Communities have come to trust CCWO's providing of a wholesome setting, safe environment, and godly surrounding, to be their alternative for "Trick or Treating". Thanks to Pastor Kelly and Kathy for their leading, and to all of you. The Bible tells us in Titus 2:11-14 "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for  Himself His own special people, zealous for every good work." Vs. 11 and 14 are, our two focus thoughts. First, God freely saved us. Second, we are saved for good works. Communities around CCWO may not understand why we keep providing an annual alternative to Halloween. But, what they do understand, are acts of generosity and goodness. They see our Halloween alternative as an act of generosity from hearts of those in our church. By serving communities, our church demonstrates Gods' love in our serving and presentation of the Gospel. Our good works through it, allows ears and hearts to be receptive, to hearing the Good News, of God's forgiveness in His Son. We're responsible for the manner of, and faithfulness in, the presentation of the Gospel. It is God, who does the saving of souls. Our good works, for the glory of our God.
