“If life was a sandwich, too often all we leave is crumbs for our Lord and Savior. We let our situations, our friends, work, and recreation life come before God.  Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” God should always be first in our life. If we seek God first, He will take care of all other areas of our life.

We should be putting God first when we wake up in the morning and in every decision we make. He should also be first in our relationships, our family, friendships, at work, and in all other aspects of our lives. A good friend of mine once told me that by giving God the first part of your day/life when you wake up in the morning, it allows you to sit back and witness God showing up during every part of your day.

So here is how to start: Make an intentional effort to read your Bible, pray, and spend some time with God when you wake up in the morning. Make Him the first priority in all of your decisions, and by doing this He will bless you beyond all measure! Be intentional with your walk, keep the first thing first, and watch the fruit in your life grow!
